The Laboratory's Origins

Hello everyone! 👋 As some of you know, as I advance in my career as an architect, I am also pursuing my passion for psychology and how the built environment affects our mental health. 🏗️🧠

In the bustling cities of today, problems of pathological anxiety seem to be increasingly common. As a professional in the field of architecture, I have realized that the environment in which we live and work has a profound impact on our minds and well-being. That's why I have decided to embark on an exciting thesis project to obtain my degree in psychology 🎓, focused on the perception of the environment as a factor in homeostasis, focusing on the intersection of neuroscience and architecture. 🏛️🧠

Throughout my career in architecture, I have witnessed how the design of spaces can influence mood, productivity, and the quality of life of individuals. A few years ago, I decided to delve even further into the study of how our physical environment can impact mental health, especially regarding our mental well-being.

My goal with this research is to better understand how architectural features, such as lighting, spatial distribution, the use of materials, and shapes, can affect our minds and how we can design more friendly and healthy environments. 🌿💡

I look forward to sharing my findings and contributing to the intersection of neuroscience and architecture. Thank you all for your support and encouragement on this journey!
